Sample Wedding Ceremony

Aloha friends,

I am honored that you have chosen me to be part of your special and sacred ceremony. Creating ceremonies and vow renewals that include a variety and a weaving together of different cultures, religious and spiritual practices are my specialty. You may envision your ceremony to be a bit more traditional or completely non-religious or spiritual. I am available to customize a ceremony that clearly states who you are as a couple.

This sample ceremony is a draft or a starting point for the ceremony that will be created just for the two of you. I offer several options that can be included in your ceremony such as; the ceremonies of Bitter and Sweet, sharing and blending of Hawaiian Water, Rose Exchange, the Symbolic lei for family and friends and family vows that include your children.

My desire is that you have a ceremony that represents you as individuals and as a couple. We can discuss these options in more detail as we create your ceremony. Please see sample ceremony below.

Abundant Blessings,

Rev. Juddee

This miracle of love, which we are here to witness today, shall inspire each of us to always trust in love.

______&______, you stand before me now in the true spirit of aloha. Aloha recognizes a bonding of all people and expresses that bonding through love, affection, compassion and kindness. Aloha acknowledges the value and worth of all people. Because of your desire to integrate the spirit of aloha within the framework of a meaningful life together, I honor each of you and your marriage.

______&______, your marriage will be a great adventure, because it is an outward expression of the great love you have for one another. Such love is characterized by compassion, passion and courage. This type of love is totally supportive of each others, goals, purpose and well-being. It is one of life’s treasures to find a person who accepts you for who you are and gives you the opportunity to feel good about yourself.

Allow the gratitude in your heart for each other to become the foundation for your marriage vows. Thank each other for helping you find the best part of who you are and for letting each other share it. Appreciate your love, your wisdom and your understanding. Commit to cherish the wonderful unique person that each of you embodies. Work with each other and continue to build your life together. When two people join together in a commitment of love to one another, knowing deep in their hearts that they belong together, and realizing that God that Spirit has brought them together, what comes next? In a true relationship, life becomes a process of helping each other to fulfill the spiritual purpose for each of you upon the earth: To strengthen, guide and compliment one another.

Blessing and Exchange of Rings

Rev. Juddee asks for the rings.

Rev. Juddee accepts the rings and blesses them; God, Gracious Spirit, bless these rings, that those who give them and those that wear them abide in peace, living together in unity and in the love that they have for each other in this moment and forever. Amene.

The circle is a symbol of completeness, a symbol of committed love. An unbroken and never-ending circle signifies a commitment of love that is also never-ending. These rings are also symbols of eternity, without beginning or end, and they are the true emblems of the endless spiritual love that links you now, spirit to spirit and soul to soul. Each of you was complete in yourselves before your partner came into your life. These rings then signify a further level of completeness in your lives together.

______, placing this ring on ______’s hand, please repeat after me.

______ I give you this ring from my heart to your hand as the symbol of our unity. With all that I am and all that I have I will always love and honor you.

______, placing this ring on ______’s hand, please repeat after me.

______ I give you this ring from my heart to your hand as the symbol of our unity. With all that I am and all that I have I will always love and honor you.

Rev. Juddee seals the vows and exchange of rings. She binds the hands of the couple with kukui lei. Let us pray; Gracious Spirit, ______and______ have each declared their consent. May the spirit of love strengthen their consent and fill each of them with abundant blessings. May their commitment to each other enrich each of them and their life together. Amene.

Let these rings, which you have exchanged always be a symbol of the unbroken unity of truth and love in your life together. May you hold the peace of this moment in your minds, and return to it whenever you need a source of strength and inspiration in your lives in the days to come. And so it is.
